ShelfPlay turns your phone into a vinyl and CD scanner. Point your camera at a barcode or album cover to identify it, then play it instantly on Spotify.

How it works
Barcode mode: scans UPC/EAN barcodes and looks up albums via MusicBrainz and Discogs — no API key needed.
Cover mode: captures the album artwork and uses Google Gemini AI to identify the artist and title. Requires a free Gemini API key — see the Vision section above.

Limitations
• Cover identification requires a Gemini API key (free tier available)
• Album matching depends on Spotify's catalogue — some releases may not be found
• Barcode scanning needs a device with camera and BarcodeDetector support
• Playback requires Spotify (free account works for search, Premium for direct playback)
